My clients often say I am ‘more than’ an Acupuncturist. This is likely because I offer such a multi faceted approach – the treatment is much more than just needles! I use the skills I have built up over my years of practice to your best benefit.
My practice focuses on a combination of traditional Chinese Medicine techniques, such as Real Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Cupping, Moxibustion, Remedial massage and Manual release techniques, Lifestyle and personalised advice, as well as specific Nutrition, supplementation and Functional Pathology interpretation. All practices are based on a combination of clinical evidence, practical experience, and traditional techniques. Believe it or not there is a great deal of cross over with these!
Communication is key.
I take the time to listen to you and and to offer useful and appropriate techniques for you personally to recover and heal. Understanding whats really going on for you means taking the time to listen to not only your problem but also how you got there, and what aspects of your life you can change to best get long term results in the quickest possible time. And we often have great conversations!
You are the sole focus of your treatment time – I spend the full time of your allocated session with you alone (not jumping between multiple patients), so theres time to talk about what is going to work through your situation, and time on the table while the needles do the work and you get to relax. At the end of our first session, we’ll have created a manageable and realistic health plan suited to your needs.
Brought up with two parents practicing Eastern martial arts, and trained as an elite athlete myself (I was a professional dancer prior to my studies in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine), I am familiar with not only the rigours of intensive physical training, but also the importance of mental focus in physical activity, and the inseparable duality of body and mind. Partially due to my previous career in Professional Dance, as well as my prior years of practice as a Remedial Massage Therapist and specific training as an Acupuncturist, I’m confident treating musculoskeletal conditions of all kinds. Ive also had personal experience and recovery from chronic ill health myself – Im fully aware of the difficulties and challenges in recovery from a serious health condition.
Although like all Chinese Medicine Practitioners, I can essentially treat everything to some degree, some conditions I particularly specialise in treating are:
Complex and chronic pain conditions
Migraines and headaches
Mental health such as Anxiety and Depression
Skin and Digestive health conditions
I work with motivated, committed people who are genuinely interested in making a recovery from the health problems holding them back from living a happy and fulfilling life.
I look forward to meeting and making the first steps to health recovery with you.
Yours warmly in health,
